About me
Hi I’m Denise, designer and maker of everything at Frostyhood. I’m always cold, even when I lived in Miami where I grew up. Today I live in Bristol, Connecticut where cold is common. I spent most of my career in the medical field, helping the underserved members of our communities.
Being Puerto Rican-American, my strong connection to community and diverse experiences inspired me to embark on a mission to bring people together outdoors. Missing the smiles and diversity from my medical career, I decided to channel my love for the outdoors into a creative and fun way to keep my community warm.
Thank you for visiting and for supporting my small business!
FAQs
What is a Frostyhood?
Frostyhood is a fresh, handmade hood made by our CEO (Comfort Executive Officer) & Chief Maker - Denise. These hoods are available in a blend of flavors and materials: solids, patterns, luxe and even satin lined for curls. Our hoods include drawstrings to adjust your fit. They look just as good when you're lounging around as they do when you're out and about, or enjoying outdoor sports. They are large enough for helmets + snow goggles.
What is your return/exchange policy?
Due to how Frostyhoods are made and intended to be worn, returns and exchanges are not accepted at this time.
What is your shipping policy?
Frostyhood uses the United States Postal Service for shipping, currently shipping to the US and Canada only. Rates are automatically calculated based on your location.
On average, it takes 2-3 weeks to process and craft your Frostyhood prior to shipping.
Frostyhood is shipped in its own, custom hood container. They make great gifts for those you love, including yourself. Keep an eye out for new flavors and containers in the future!
Do you have a guide for sizing?
Our handmade hood is one size fits most and intended for teens and adults. The hood will slowly expand and loosen as it is worn.
For children under 10, we have Scoops. A smaller, safer (no drawstrings) hood that is just as bright and soft as our full size Frostyhoods.
What is the best way to care for my Frostyhood?
We recommend to wash on cold and hang to dry.
